Albin Andersson: "If I had a million dollars I would turn them into time and let creativity eat them up"

Albin Andersson, a swedish singersongwriter currently residing in Berlin, bring to Jamendo Music his beautiful set of original folk songs. He drew his inspiration from creative figures like Tove Jansson, Roy Andersson or The Beatles. We just did a fun interview to get to know him better!

If you were an instrument?

I always liked the piano. It's has a logical and accessible layout, yet—or because of that—still is able to produce the most unexpected melodies with a great sound. Although not a grand one, perhaps I'd be one of those slightly out-of-tune pianos standing at your grandma's.

If you were a song?

Before my first cup of coffee, definitely The Beatles' "I'm So Tired". Afterwards I'd be something like "Solitude Is Bliss" by Tame Impala, then it repeats itself over and over.

If you could play a festival?

I have to admit, I have no idea. But a rather small sized festival where you can get more intimate with the audience. To be surrounded by great nature would be a plus.

If you were an animal?

Definitely something nocturnal. And perhaps something shying away from big crowds. Maybe a wolf, although I'm not sure I could live up to the cool-factor, so perhaps something smaller. Like a fox. A city fox, who wakes up when everyone is asleep.

If you were a celebrity?

I'm really bad with celebrities... But maybe someone with a big creative mind, but in a different area than music. Like, someone who's really good with science or math. Not sure there are too many celebrities doing that though... Or I'd try to be Tove Jansson.

If you were a city?

A not too big one, with a lot of seasons and weather.

If you had a million dollars?

I would turn them into time and let creativity eat them up.

If you were a movie?

Any Roy Andersson movie would probably be a good contender.

If you had a super power?

I would like to be incredible quick in learning new things. Or I’d go the other way; to be able to create a bubble in which time stops, or moves incredibly slow, were I could sit and learn things at my own pace.
