Good news! Today we made the sharing revenue from April to July. A total amount of 6,000 euros was shared between the artists who subscribed to this program.

How does it work? Every month artists who registered to this program get 50% of Jamendo’s revenue from advertising. Shares are proportional to the number of visits they get on their Jamendo’s page: the more people visit your artist page or your albums, the more money you get!

This system is currently one of the most innovative way to use Creative Commons licenses (which authorize users to download and share the music for free) while allowing the artists to make some money if they are popular.
