Jamendo grants MusicBrainz full cover art access

Musicbrainz is a free database of music metadata managed by an impressive team of volunteers. We are happy to announce today that we are partnering with them so that they can access directly to all our album cover files. This means that all Jamendo albums in the MusicBrainz database will have their cover shown directly on musicbrainz.org!

Adding a cover to a Jamendo album entry on MusicBrainz is really simple. You have to add its Jamendo album URL, like:

http://www.jamendo.com/album/6833/.

With this URL, MusicBrainz will be able to access both the cover file:

jamendo.com/get/album/id/album/artworkurl/plain/6833/?artwork_size=300
jamendo.com/get/album/id/album/artworkurl/plain/6833/?artwork_size=100

Cover 6833

… and the license of the album:

http://www.jamendo.com/get/license/id/album/page/plain/6833/

Thanks a lot to our friends at MusicBrainz, we really like this project and we look forward to expanding this partnership to more metadata fields in the future!

Thanks! For clarification, however, the url “advanced relationship” at musicbrainz for the coverart needs to be a direct url to the image itself - your note above seems to imply that it ought to be just the directory url link. Other ARs can be used correctly for the directory url link though (”has an official page at”, “can be downloaded for free at”, etc.)
